Kenyan actor Charlie Karumi has achieved another career milestone after being cast in the third season of Apple TV+’s science fiction drama Invasion.
The Nairobi-born actor, known for his roles in local productions such as Disconnect and Nganya, will now feature alongside an international cast in the Emmy-nominated series. Invasion has been praised for its global storytelling, following the impact of an alien arrival through the eyes of ordinary people across different continents.
Speaking about the news, Karumi expressed excitement at the opportunity to represent Kenya on such a massive platform, noting that it proves African actors can thrive in global productions.
“This is a dream come true. It shows that Kenyan talent can go beyond borders and tell stories to the world,” he said.
Karumi has steadily built his career over the years, transitioning from hosting youth shows on Kenyan TV to acting in stage plays, short films, and full-length features. His international debut will inspire many young creatives across East Africa who aspire to break into the global entertainment industry.
The third season of Invasion is set to premiere in 2026, with production already underway. Fans in Kenya will be able to watch the series on Apple TV+ once it drops.
This achievement cements Charlie Karumi’s position as one of the most promising Kenyan actors making waves abroad, joining the ranks of Lupita Nyong’o, Mumbi Maina, and others who continue to put Kenyan talent on the global map.
